Michael Smith here. Those maps were drawn in about 2001, so beware, they are an overview only. My boating guide to Port Stephens and the Myall Lakes gets updated about every 3 years, I have sold 38 000 copies so far. There may be another edition, or not, as the waterways map is now good enough. Enjoy the free copy on the website, but it is out of date. There are many changes to speed limits, and NPWS has forbidden people to go ashore at One Horse Sands, Kataway Bay and Tickerabit, as well as other places.

The maps on the NSW maritime siteseem to me to be very good. Some are dated 2008. They have the updates mentioned in a previous post.
They will not print but a little skulduggery will get around that however they are cheap to purchase.
I have 'snared' most of them for use with my GPS mapping software.

don't know if this is accident or design, but all the BIA charts of the Murray River in SA are available here:
http://www.environment.sa.gov.au/cllmm/pdfs/maps/

If this link no longer works after a while, it must have been an accident..
