Downloading Maps from Google Earth

Post by boffo » Feb 1st, '08, 21:32

This may be a bit on the grey side, but there is an application that will zoom into Google earth, capture a screenshot.
repeating the process to cover a selected area,
and then stitch (tile) the resulting images into one large map.

Whats more it will also save the co-ordinate information so the map can be loaded into something like 'Oziexplorer' already calibrated.

Hope I'm making sense..

The "plus" version

Note that the standard version just stitches together files that you have scanned/aquired yourself.

It is the "plus" version of stitchmaps that will aquire from Google earth.
