Error messages

Post by Peter Yates » Aug 15th, '18, 19:10

For the admins, I am getting error messages indicating my posts have failed when in fact they have been posted. I notice a couple of double/triple posters who presumable are experiencing the same problem and end up posting the same thing several times without knowing it.

This could be just about anything which delays the pages getting from the site to your monitor...

While on the subject of error messages, the SSL certificate for this site has expired (12th April 2018). The site also gets 'T' rating on SSLlabs.com

I haven't a clue what that all means Digger, but every post I make yields an "SQL error" (including sending a PM) but it still seems to post the items even though it says it hasn't. If I look at "view new posts" they are always there.

PS. editing a post seems to work normally.

Error messages still happening and perhaps that is why some posts are appearing 4 times and some not at all.

Yep; I've had several this evening, including at least wtice when posting - the post goes through but the automatic return to the thread with the new post doesn't work and if you reload... double post!

Also yesterday I got the error message and assumed it was an "erroneous" one and that the post had in fact gone through, but in this case it hadn't, so I did have to re-post it.

Being near enough to computer illiterate, I have no idea why this happens and we have long since lost out on notifications of new posts, but could it be that the site or the host is just "full" and needs a clean out?

I get the same error messages.

Got to find Simon as my pay grade is now where near enough to deal with the issues.

Mind you I don't use Tapatalk so maybe the changes Simon made to fix that have had side effects????

Cheers

Jeff

Edit: No error message today ???????
