Thinking about heading over to Days Gutter for a short stay with fishing & crabbing. Perhaps some lizards & sand crabs. I read on a forum that there are yabbies out front of Kooringal Store.

Anyone familiar with the area

Great spot there. Been a while since I have been there. Beware of the green zones around crab island and out the front of the blue hole. Also, the southern point of the island is a yellow zone.

Not sure about crabs, but for the old lizards fish the banks of the channels, and out around the front fish the beach around to reeders point.

Read that Days Gutter provides protection from E winds. None from N or S. Horseshoe bay south of Peel Island being the nearest N hide away. Last year we caught 2 17cm sandies there.

Forecast looks mainly E with some NE.
