Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club are proposing to run a trailer sailer regatta on Lake Macquarie over the Australia Day weekend 2018
If anyone is interested in attending please let me know so we can do some forward planning.

Going be a good event. Lake Macquarie is one of the premier sailing venues in NSW. Queenslanders who want a change from bumping into sand-bars on Moreton Bay might be interested. Lake Macquarie is only a 2 hour drive from Sydney so very accessible to all the south Sydney clubs. And the Victorians, of course you want to come.
The event will be open to all trailerables from all over.
At this stage what we are tentatively proposing is a 16Nm passage race on Australia Day followed by compulsory BBQ & snag eating etc. 2-3 shorter around the cans races on Saturday and a slightly longer race on Sunday, finishing early enough to give you a reasonable amount of time to get home to spend your prize money or admire your trophies. 8)

OK chaps, it's on.
Inaugural Australia Day Trailer Sailer regatta, hosted by Wangi Aquatic Sailing Club on Lake Macquarie.
Oil Test Cup

Briefly it will be a 3 race event. A passage race on Australia Day, Friday, followed by a 2-3 hour race around the buoys on Saturday & Sunday.
There will be cash prizes and lots of glory. There are ample facilities in the area, several excellent ramps and plenty of room to tie up on the shore.
Everyone is welcome, the more the merrier. This should be a great weekend and hopefully the first of many to come.
Further information can be obtained from myself, the contacts listed in the NOR, or on Facebook.
