We're looking for a swing mooring in northern Port Phillip.

Can anyone help please?

Cheers, Graeme

Apart from stating the obvious...St. Kilda and Williamstown are about it. There really is a complete lack of facilities in PPB for boating... :(

Damn right. I'm hoping to sub-lease, or pay someone to transfer their existing mooring. Can't afford thousands for marina fees.

Not sure if it is still available, but I seem to recall one being offered at Sandringham YC a while back.

Try the syc web site or contact the club manager as I am pretty sure it was listed somewhere around the club when I saw it.

Happy conclusion - proud owner of a swing mooring at Sandy for my new (S/H) Compass 28. Thanks for your help chaps.

I have a swing mooring in Williamstown that i'm not using. It has no tackle at all on it and just recently Parks Vic have been telling me that they now have a "use it or lose it" policy, so i'm gonna have to have tackle put there if i want to keep the mooring.
I've had the space since 2001 when these spots were first released, and never put any tackle down (i was planning to buy a bigger yacht).
Anyone wanting to use this mooring is more than welcome, but you'll have to have the tackle put down. We could consider paying for the tackle as a few years' rent, or some such.
Matt
