It certainly looks like a Tropic 460.

But it was posted last September!

The giveaway boat looks like it might have some timber in the cockpit, but assuming it is in fact a Tropic 460 like the link I posted, it certainly is all fibreglass.

Hey Paul, seems to be glass with a ply keel and ply in places in the cockpit. The boat is now out near Logan Village at a mates. Not sure if he is going to attempt the project just yet as the trailer which at first appeared to be ok is in fact not all that good . Also has a fracture to the keel area which shouldn,t be to hard to fix.
I think you may be close Zeb, was the tropic a NZ build or Aus build.

I don't know; someone suggested Tropic so I googled for images to compare itand it has a distinctive enough shape to confirm it is one.

There is a review for a Tropic 520 on the John Crawford site, if that is of any help

Ken stick me second in line after Darren. Brother is between boats (amateur boat builder) and this would be right up his alley. Pity he won't do any work on mine :/

Sorry Darren, have been flat out lately. Talked to the mate on the weekend , trailer is being repaired and then will move the boat to his garage for a lengthy rebuild. Hopefully we will be able to post photos of the progress. If he gets sick of it I will let you guys know. For now though he is very keen to bring her back to her former glory.
Cheers
Ken

fair enough. That will give me time to fix up my trailer i bought and i will be ready to pick up any future give aways or great deals.
Would love to see the photos as she goes.

I am really interested in photos of the boat off the trailer while its being restore. I want to see some stands and how they are made.
