Hi,

I have been travelling os for work and while I was away I got the news that a (drunken ?) neighbour somehow had a handbrake fail and crashed into my boat.

Beyond the superficial damage (lock, tarp, winch post), I found that the hull has been holed up near the bow.

Anyone able to recommend any repairers ?

I have done the usual google, yellowpages etc. but most of the places I find have disconnected numbers or the businesses have closed !

cheers

Sounds like an insurance job.

Yes, it is an insurance job. They (NRMA) said that I could take it to the repairer of my choice.

It's a straight forward repair and I have found a surf boat builder close to home that will do it.

Will post back here how it goes.

As promised I am updating this thread - repair was performed by Clymer Boats, 1 man show who specialise in surf boats. Great to work with and good timely job with the repair. Only criticism is that it was difficult to colour match with the original white gelcoat being so old and it went yellow whenever it was rubbed back... I have a nice bright patch so that I can never forget my idiot neighbours !
